European Under 23 Fencing Championships

The Board of the Lombardy Region Sports welcomes with great pleasure the prestigious appointment with the first edition of the European Championship Under 23 Fencing, which will be held at Monza from 9th to 11th May 2008.

I am very pleased that both our region to host this prestigious event, which will see the most promising all athletes play European Under 23 medals in various specialties planned. I am sure that the event will make an important contribution to the popularity of fencing, exciting discipline, from noble roots and capable of transmitting high, healthy and educational. A discipline that has given so much honour to Sports Lombard and Italian, and that certainly deserves to be increasingly valued and promoted.

I thank the organisers for bringing in Lombardy competition of the highest level to its historic debut. I take this opportunity to express my warmest greetings to all athletes and spectators.
